Laffoon Leads Penn-Trafford Past Woodland Hills

Penn-Trafford and Woodland Hills began their clash Friday night as two of the top teams in the Post-Gazette's Class 5A rankings, with the Wolverines ranked No. 2 and the Warriors No. 3.

Penn-Trafford (4-0) made its case to leapfrog the Wolverines (3-1) after its 26-7 non-conference victory. Cam Laffoon had a hand in three touchdowns and the Warriors'defense blanked the high-powered Wolverines through the final three quarters.

Laffoon connected on 15 of 23 passes for 253 yards. He found Brett Carney from 6 yards for his first touchdown pass before connecting with Cam Suman for a 33-yard score. Laffoon also found the end zone on a 2-yard run in the first quarter.

Nico Santimauro capped the scoring for Penn-Trafford with a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Anthony Cervone was the Warriors' leading receiver, hauling in four passes and racking up 113 yards. …
