Topeka High School will stage "Don't Drink the Water," Woody Allen's first play on Broadway, at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Hoehner Auditorium at the school, 800 S.W. 10th. In the farce, the father of an American family takes a photo where he shouldn't in an unnamed European country behind the Iron Curtain. When he is accused of being a spy, the family winds up trapped in the U.S. embassy. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $5 at the box office or online at http://cjon.co/2dh7Hkx.

As part of its Homegrown Play Project, the Ad Astra Theatre Ensemble will present the premiere of "Self Love," a comedy written by Lisa Greenwood. Directed by Scott Kickhaefer, the play explores the gap between one's idealized vision of themselves and reality. …
