Temperament matters

Since there's been a distinct trend away from substance in presidential "debates" over the years, I would normally agree with the editorial arguing for this. But this election is wildly different than what we have seen before, as we see from all the distinguished Republicans who, out of principle, are opposing and even denouncing Trump. It's not really the case that "personality supplanted policy" Monday, as reported. Trump's temperament, contrasted with Clinton's steadiness and policies derived from personal experience, is highly at issue, and a key reason why he is unacceptable to so many.
