'Cheeky Chappy' Tributes to Kyle as His Killer Is Jailed

THE family of Kyle Hand who was murdered by his best friend have paid tribute to him after the killer was given a life sentence.

Jovan Martin, 26, of Whitburn Avenue, Rusholme, was found guilty of murdering Kyle and jailed for a minimum of 27 years in prison last Thursday.

A fight broke out between Kyle, 28, and Martin inside a house on Sunny Brow Road, in Gorton, on March 21 this year.

The fight spilled out into the street and Martin stabbed his friend in the neck, thigh and buttock.

Kyle was taken to hospital, but sadly later died from his injuries.

Martin was sentenced during a hearing at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday.

On top of his 27 year sentence he was given five years, to run concurrently, for possession of an offensive weapon. Kyle's family have since paid tribute to him following the result of the sentencing. …
