HARRISBURG -An estimated 641 Pennsylvania consumers are expected to receive a total of roughly $1.5 million in relief under a multi-state settlement with companies accused of abusive business tactics aimed at members of the military and veterans, according to the attorney general's office.

USA Discounters, which also did business as USA Living and Fletcher's Jewelers, sold overpriced household items -including furniture, appliances, televisions, computers, smart phones and jewelry - on credit with high interest rates, the AG's office said Monday.

The company was accused of abusive tactics in collecting consumer debts, such as contacting the supervisors of members of the military, causing some members to lose security clearances, according to the release. …
