WVSU Extension Service Hosting Fall Gardening Workshops

Although fall is here, that's no reason to forget about gardening.

The West Virginia State University Extension Service is offering an "Autumn Ag workshop series, taking place at community garden sites throughout Charleston during October. The series will begin with a session on raised bed and container garden production at the Agsten Manor Community Garden on Friday, Oct. 7, at 2 p.m. All sessions in the series are free and open to the public.

"People often think of fall as a time to close up their gardens for the colder months ahead, but there are plenty of ways to keep your green spaces beautiful well into the holiday season, said WVSU Extension Agent Randy Ross.

In addition to providing education on various fall-themed topics, the series is also designed to highlight some of Charleston's thriving community garden spaces. …
