Five New Jerseyans -- including an Alpine hedge-fund manager -- are on Forbes magazine's latest list of the 400 wealthiest people in the U.S., the business magazine said Wednesday. Four of the five work in finance.

Alpine's Larry Robbins, the 46-year-old founder of the hedge fund Glenview Capital Management, is worth an estimated $1.8 billion, according to Forbes. He is ranked at No. 374 on the list.

Donald Newhouse, 86, of Advance Publications, is the highest- ranked New Jersey resident on the list, at No. 42, with a net worth of $10.5 billion. Advance Publications owns The Star-Ledger of Newark, the Cleveland Plain Dealer and other publications. Forbes gives his residence as Somerset County.

John Overdeck, 46, of Millburn is co-chairman of the hedge fund Two Sigma Investments. …
