Hoboken Terminal Will Partially Reopen

NJ Transit officials announced Friday that the Hoboken Terminal will partially reopen in time for Monday's morning commute.

Trains running on the Main, Bergen, Pascack Valley, Port Jervis and Gladstone lines will resume partial service to the terminal, which was damaged on Sept. 29 when an NJ Transit train barreled past its stopping point, killing one person, injuring more than 100 others and causing structural damage.

The train was removed from the station Thursday, after sections of the collapsed roof were secured.

The closing of the Hoboken station, which provides access to the PATH lines, has been a headache for commuters, who have had to take alternative routes to New York City.

Some trains, including express trains, will be canceled, NJ Transit said, adding that trains on the North Jersey Coast and Raritan Valley lines will continue to terminate at Newark Penn Station for now. …
