A-B InBev's Acquisition of SABMiller Set to Become Final on Monday

Anheuser-Busch InBev's acquisition of rival SABMiller the biggest-ever deal in the beer industry is slated to be final on Monday.

The more than $100 billion combination of the world's top brewers received regulatory approval in the United Kingdom on Oct. 4. London- based SABMiller makes Redd's and Fosters, and A-B InBev's brands include Budweiser, Stella Artois and Beck's.

In July, Belgium-based A-B InBev won U.S. antitrust approval after agreeing to give up ownership of the Miller brands in the U.S. and open the door to greater competition from craft brewers. SABMiller's 58 percent stake in Chicago-based MillerCoors, a joint venture created in 2008 by SABMiller and Denver-based Molson Coors, is being acquired by Molson Coors.
