part of a comprehensive education? How much classroom experience do you have?

A diverse crowd of more than 300 turned out at Riverview High School Thursday evening and brought a range of eclectic concerns to the three candidates hoping to be the next superintendent for the Sarasota County School District.

Todd Bowden, executive director of career, technical and adult education for Sarasota County, Brennan Asplen III, superintendent for academic and student services in St. Johns County, and Monroe County Schools Superintendent Mark Porter stood in separate corners for 90 minutes to share their priorities amid the circulating streams of listeners. …
