UNITED midfielder Ander Herrera has warned his side they need to start winning big games if they want to be champions after their draw with Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho's side frustrated Liverpool for long periods and emerged from Anfield with a valuable point after an assured defensive display.

Herrera, who was voted the game's man of the match, was United's standout player after a tireless display in the middle of the park.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the 0-0 draw, the Spaniard called on his side to build on the performance ahead of the games against Fenerbahce and Chelsea.

"I think we can be very proud of our team," he said. "Every player gave everything tonight. This is the way we have to play in these matches.

"For us, I think it's a fair draw. Both teams didn't deserve to lose.

"We can take a lot of things from this game but know we have to win matches. We want to be champions - we have to win matches. We just try to win every duel, every battle, every ball. …
