Although unnerving, the warm reception quickly washed away any anxiety as familiar, friendly faces such as event emcee Lynn Cullen lightened the mood quickly. Guests could nibble on delicious foods from rockstar chef Kate Romane, while bidding on the art throughout the space. But why get involved with an organization like Planned Parenthood during such a hot political time? "I know some people are afraid to be associated with this organization," said Betsy Teti.
