EING the wife of the Belfast Strangler has not proved much fun so far.

BWe last saw Sally-Ann, devastated and desperate, poised to drive herself and her two children into the sea.

And her actions stun both Jim (John Lynch) and an increasingly rattled Stella (Gillian Anderson) - but what will the consequences turn out to be? We even see the usually cold and composed Stella shed a tear - just one, mind you, but still.

It's a dramatic storyline in what has otherwise been a fairly sedate series so far, with the plot moving at a snail's pace.

As this episode begins, Stella is dreaming that Spector is trying to drown her in the bath. She then wakes up with a start - and in fact, it woke me up with a start too.
