MetroNews Poll Shows Justice Maintaining His Lead over Cole

Democrat Jim Justice continues to maintain a double-digit lead over Senate President Bill Cole, R-Mercer, in the race for governor, according to the latest edition of the MetroNews West Virginia Poll, released Wednesday. Conducted Oct. 12-17, the poll of 408 likely voters by Repass Research found Justice leading Cole by a 44 percent to 33 percent margin, with Mountain Party candidate Charlotte Pritt polling at 8 percent and Libertarian David Moran with 5 percent. Nine percent of those surveyed were undecided.

Those numbers are consistent with a poll the Justice campaign released Monday, showing Justice leading Cole 44 percent to 34 percent, with Pritt at 8 percent and Moran at 2 percent, with 12 percent undecided.
