Man Charged with Murder over Body in Suitcase Death

A MANCHESTER man has been charged with murder after a dismembered body was found in a suitcase near Tintwistle.

The body was discovered with no head or limbs in a lay-by near the Woodhead Pass just east of Tintwistle village. Police have now charged a man from Beswick with his alleged murder.

Ming Jiang, 42, of Falconwood Way in Manchester, was charged yesterday.

He is due to appear before magistrates at Chesterfield Justice Centre today.

The discovery of the remains earlier this month sparked a nationwide hunt for information by police.

The victim's headless and limbless body was discovered torched in a suitcase in the lay-by, just off the A628, at about 12.30pm on Monday, October 10.

As of last week, the missing head and limbs had not been found.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Constabulary, who are leading the investigation, said police were not in a position to identify the alleged murder victim. …
