Hunt for Gunman Who Fired Shots at Terrace House

POLICE have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a house.

A man dressed in black was seen approaching the front door of the home on Victoria Street, Dukinfield, at 9.15am yesterday. It's said the suspect then fired shots towards the house before fleeing.

Victoria Street was cordoned off with yellow crime scene tape into the afternoon as forensic investigations took place.

A crime scene investigator could be seen examining and photographing the pavement outside a row of terrace houses, which were at the top of the road at its junction with Jeffrey Street.

There were two evidence markers on the pavement, a front garden and a hedge. Half a dozen officers stood guard at the scene, along with several detectives who were carrying out door-to-door enquiries.

Residents were able to access the street by foot to get to their homes, but were unable to get their cars out until a fingertip search had been carried out. …
