Warning as Crooks Raid Three Firms in One Night ; It Is Not Yet Known If the Incidents Are Linked

POLICE are investigating after three Chorlton businesses were raided in the same night.

A pub, a hairdressers and a bar were all targeted by burglars in the south Manchester suburb in the early hours.

It is not yet known if the incidents are linked, but all three break-ins took place between Wednesday night, October 12, and the following morning.

Among those targeted was the popular Spread Eagle pub, on Wilbraham Road.

Crooks smashed a large pane glass window leading to the function room, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage, but left the pub empty handed.

CCTV footage of the incident has been passed on to the police.

K-Style hairdressers on Manchester Road was also raided and intruders managed to steal a charity box from the Poppy Appeal.

A spokesman for the business said the shop door was forced open during the incident in the early hours of Thursday.

He said: "When I came in at about 8am, the policeman said there had been another burglary that night at another shop. …
