Two Men Admit Separate Crimes Involving Heroin

In unrelated cases, two men pleaded guilty Monday to heroin charges in federal court in West Virginia's Southern District. Anthony D. Latham, 25, of Detroit, pleaded guilty in federal court in Huntington to conspiracy to distribute heroin. He faces up to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced Jan. 30.

Latham admitted that between January 2013 and July 2014, he conspired with others to distribute heroin in the Point Pleasant area of Mason County, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Carol Casto's office. He also admitted that he and others often would take heroin to different cities in Ohio, including from Columbus and Chillicothe to a house in Gallipolis, where the drugs would be stored and prepared to sell, the release states.

Latham admitted he's responsible for distributing up to 700 grams of heroin in a year. …
