Wine Finds: Dark Blends for Halloween

Halloween is a great opportunity to sample some of the dark red American blends that have been multiplying over the last few years. Many of them have spooky or mysterious labels that are appropriate for the season, and certainly the deep garnet and inky colors of these wines are perfect, too. However, there can be a big difference in quality. Look for reliable producers and information about which grapes are in the wine and what growing regions they come from. The following are two good examples.
