North Star Steakhouse to Host Murder Mystery Comedy with Sunday Dinner

North Star Steakhouse will serve its next Sunday dinner with a side of murder.

The Levity Players Group will present "Murder at the Masquerade, or Excuse Me, Waiter, There are Fangs in My Soup," a family- friendly, interactive murder mystery comedy at 6 p.m. Sunday at the North Topeka restaurant at 1100 N.W. 25th.

Although this will be the Levity Players Group's debut at the North Star, the company, under its previous name, the Leavenworth Players Group, presented audience-participation murder mystery comedies at the now-defunct China Inn.

"We are enthused to be bowing at North Star Steakhouse," said Levity Players Group producer Greg Marino. "They have great food, and this will be a spectacular show."

In "Murder at the Masquerade Ball," Larissa Culaard, the wife of Vladimir Culaard, an overworked biotech executive, has organized a gala which, Marino said, "is a masquerade in every sense of the word. …
