PAPA MURPHY'S ; Frozen Pizza Chain Considers Four Locations in W.Va

Papa Murphy's, a pizza chain that serves frozen pizzas for customers to bake at home, is looking to open four stores in Southern West Virginia in the next one to three years. "We're looking forward to partnering with the right people to help us develop the brand in the area, said Gary Payne, vice president of sales for the company. "So we're excited, but there's still a lot of work to do.

The locations Papa Murphy's is currently evaluating to open stores at are Beckley, Bluefield, Beaver, Oak Hill and Princeton. The company is in the process of identifying target areas for each store to be built at, and then securing real estate and franchisees for the stores.

There are currently no Papa Murphy's locations in the state.

Payne said southern West Virginia was an area of interest to the company because it was close to southern markets it had already developed, such as Lexington, Kentucky, and Knoxville, Tennessee.

Papa Murphy's is different from traditional pizza chains, having frozen pizzas made to order instead of pizzas that are already baked. …
