SALFORD have signed England international prop Lee Mossop from Wigan.

The 27-year-old spent eight years at the Warriors, in two spells, twice winning both the Super League Grand Final and the Challenge Cup with the club.

Red Devils coach Ian Watson expressed his delight at securing the capture of the prop, who spent a season in the NRL with Parramatta Eels in 2015.

"Lee is a great addition to our squad," said Watson. "He adds depth to our pack and brings with him plenty of experience at the highest level.

"With the squad we already have in place I think Lee can have a big impact on our season as we look to build on last year."

Mossop is the fourth addition to the Salford squad for 2017, following Daniel Murray, Kris Brining and Lama Tasi, and new chief executive Ian Blease suggested there might not be too many more new faces.

"The squad is virtually now complete," explained the former Red Devils captain.

"With an emphasis on experience which Lee brings to this club, the club will also mix the experience with youth with the likes of Josh Wood, Jake Bibby and Ryan Lannon challenging the senior members of the squad for next year's shirts. …
