Officers Charge Man over Double Stabbing

ONE man has been charged and two more arrested after two men were stabbed in the back during a fight near The Printworks over the weekend.

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his back and abdomen after police were called to Dantzic Street on Saturday.

A second man, aged 30, was later found at Manchester Royal Infirmary. It's understood he had made his own way there after also being stabbed in the back.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to the incident near Withy Grove in the city centre, which took place shortly before 4am.

The men were injured during a 'fight between two groups' and an investigation is ongoing.

One man, Jack Clarke, 18, from Hope Court Close, Salford has been charged with a Section 18 assault, or GBH with intent, and a Section 20 assault, GBH without intent, and will be appearing in Manchester Magistrates court today. …
