RUTHERFORD -- Police are looking for a parking vigilante who is placing no-parking stickers on residents' cars.

Police received two complaints this week from residents who parked on Ayer Place and found "no-parking" stickers placed on their windshields after returning to their cars later in the day.

"VIOLATION -- This vehicle is parked illegally and hereby subject to towing and impoundment. Your license plate was recorded," reads the sticker.

The stickers were placed on one vehicle on Oct. 28 and the following Tuesday, and on another vehicle Tuesday, police Capt. Patrick Feliciano said.

In the three incidents, the residents parked their cars between 7 and 8:15 a.m. and returned at 7 p.m. to find the stickers. The stickers were placed on the windshields and were hard to remove, the residents said. …
