Logan Pens New Deal to Stay at the Red Devils

SALFORD have handed hooker Logan Tomkins a new one-year contract, tying him to the club until the end of the 2017 season.

The 24-year-old initially joined on loan from Wigan Warriors in 2014 and a similar arrangement was agreed for 2015. At the end of that campaign, he joined the Red Devils permanently.

This season, Tomkins - younger brother of Wigan and England stars Joel and Sam - featured in all 30 of Salford's Super League fixtures, as well as the Million Pound Game.

Red Devils coach Ian Watson said: "Logan stepped up to be our starting nine last season when we had an injury to Tommy Lee and he made the shirt his own.

"The work Logan does off the ball is first class. He does things across the park that don't always get seen but make a massive difference to the team.

"He's shown big improvements during his time here and I'm sure he can continue to develop in 2017. …
