Election day brings change to WESA-FM.

Longtime host Josh Raulerson is leaving the NPR station to work in communications for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. He announced his departure Monday morning; his last shift will be today.

Christopher Ayers arrived at WESA from WFYI-FM in Indianapolis in April and has been producing Pittsburgh's "Morning Edition." He will be taking over for Mr. Raulerson, who has hosted "Morning Edition" since 2011.

"It's been my honor, it's been my pleasure to be with you in the morning," Mr. Raulerson said to the audience on his Monday show.

He joked that Mr. Ayers had passed the "most important" vetting process: "getting up stupidly early for many months now" each morning to produce the show. …
