RCCR to Host 20th Annual Beans and Cornbread Dinner

The Religious Coalition for Community Renewal will celebrate its 20th annual beans and cornbread dinner, along with a silent auction, beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 Kanawha Blvd., E., in Charleston. WSAZ-TV News Anchor Amanda Barren will be the emcee. Special music will be provided by keyboardist David Loyd.

This year's honoree is former Board member Bob Boder. Boder was the RCCR's commercial banking manager with BB&T and was instrumental in partnering Pison Development with RCCR to develop three, 48- unit, low-income apartment complexes: Knollview Village, which opened in 2006; Willow Tree, which opened in 2010 and Willow Tree II, which opened in 2012.

The cost per ticket is $60; $54 are tax deductible. …
