Christie Nominates 3 Bergen Lawyers to Superior Court

Governor Christie nominated three longtime Bergen County lawyers to the state Superior Court on Thursday.

The nominees are Darren T. DiBiasi of Glen Rock, Joseph G. Monaghan of Harrington Park and John O'Dwyer of Waldwick.

DiBiasi currently serves as the municipal judge in Saddle River and received his law degree from Georgetown University. He has not made donations to political candidates in New Jersey, according to records from the Election Law Enforcement Commission.

Monaghan has donated $57,000 to Democrats in Bergen County since 1999, according to ELEC records. He has run his own practice for 35 years in Hackensack and graduated from Seton Hall University's law school.

O'Dwyer is a personal injury lawyer and partner at the law firm of Ginarte, O'Dwyer, Gonzalez, Gallardo and Winograd. He has been practicing more than 30 years and serves as a municipal judge in Waldwick. …
