FRIDAY

No. 8 Saddle Brook (6-2) at No. 1 Hasbrouck Heights (8-0), 7 p.m.

Story line: Hasbrouck Heights is the team to beat in this section. The Aviators are poised for a deep run, boasting a high- powered offense, strong defense and experience. Senior QB Frank Quatrone is a dual-threat talent who has rushed for 984 yards and 20 TDs, and completed 40 of 56 passes for 653 yards and eight TDs. The Aviators are yielding just 5.6 points per game. But that defense will try to stop Saddle Brook junior RB Vinny Camilleri, one of the most dangerous rushers in North Jersey. Saddle Brook enters the playoffs on a three-game winning streak, and don't overlook its defense: The Falcons are giving up just 14 points per game. The pick: Hasbrouck Heights

No. 5 Cresskill (6-2) at No. 4 Boonton (7-1), 7 p.m.

Story line: The Cougars enter the playoffs with plenty of momentum, having won their past four games. They've outscored their opponents, 153-26, in that stretch. Cresskill has a strong offense led by senior QB Jack Maltby, and he has two outstanding running backs in sophomore Antonio Lora and junior Ben Stein. Boonton hasn't lost since dropping its season opener. Keep an eye on senior RB Maleek Awan, who has rushed for 625 yards and seven TDs on 75 carries. He forms a nice 1-2 punch with senior Amaro Anderson, who has piled up 488 yards and six scores. The pick: Cresskill

No. 6 Park Ridge (6-2) at No. 3 Becton (6-2), 7 p.m.

Story line: Becton is hoping its two-game losing streak comes to an end. The Wildcats were shut out by Hasbrouck Heights in the NJIC semifinals, before falling to Rutherford in the third-place game. But those losses came after Becton dominated in its first six games, showing an explosive offense and formidable defense. Junior Michael Bolwell is one of the better quarterbacks in North Jersey, and he has a dominant playmaker in senior WR Seven Strong. Senior MLB Joe Lesho is a defensive stalwart. Becton defeated Park Ridge, 24-9, in the season opener, although the Owls have thrived since then, entering the playoffs winners of six of their past seven. …
