METEOR SHOWER

A meteor shower known as "the night stars fell" became an almost religious event. A slave actually gained his freedom while waiting to be sold because his captors ran away, thinking the reflection of the light on water meant the coming of Judgment Day.

The largest fair trade market in the U.S. will be held at Manchester United Methodist Church, 129 Woods Mill Road, Manchester, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 19-20 and Nov. 25-27.
