Man Faces Murder Charges

A Teaneck man who answered the door with blood on his hands when police responded to a 911 call with only screams was indicted Monday in the stabbing deaths of his mother and brother.

Keith D. Knight, 61, was indicted by a Bergen County grand jury on two counts of murder and one count of possession of a weapon, a knife, with an unlawful purpose.

Teaneck police responded to the white brick Ward Plaza home Knight shared with his mother, 82-year-old Victoria Knight, and brother 52-year-old Victor Knight, after a 10:40 p.m. 911 call. The officers entered the home and found Victoria and Victor with multiple stab wounds and a large amount of blood in the kitchen. Both victims were pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.

The Knights had lived in the home since 1962. Relatives, friends and neighbors said Keith Knight had had mental health issues since he was injured in a motorcycle accident in his 20s. …
