It's a busy week for family-friendly programming on PBS, including the debut of the latest PBS Kids series, this one from the Jim Henson Company. "Splash & Bubbles," which will air regularly at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. weekdays beginning next week, was created by John Tartaglia ("Avenue Q," "Johnny and the Sprites"), who performs the character Splash. The show's focus, through the use of digital puppetry, is on marine biology and ocean science.

Aimed at children ages 4-7, the show follows the adventures of Splash, a yellow fusilier fish, and Bubbles, a Mandarin dragonet, as they explore undersea habitats.
