St. Louis University's women's basketball team started with seven wins last season before SIU Edwardsville ended the streak.

The Billikens turned the tables Thursday by jumping to a 28-4 lead after one quarter in their home opener on the way to a 90-49 win at Chaifetz Arena.

Senior Sadie Stipanovich (Westminster) had her second consecutive double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds for SLU (3-0), and sophomore Jordyn Frantz had 15 points and eight assists. Donshel Beck (Ritenour) and Amri Wilder led SIUE (0-3) with 11 points each.

SLU has scored 90 points in consecutive games for the second time in program history. (Stu Durando)
