MANATEE COUNTY -- A top corporate executive just paid $3.95 million for a home on Anna Maria Island.

David M. Cote, chairman/chief executive of Honeywell International Inc., bought the Gulf-front house at 717-719 North Shore Drive, county records show.

It was the second deal on the island in a year for Cote. In late 2015, he paid $4.1 million for a 1.1-acre vacant lot at 101 Park Ave. in Banyan Tree Estates.

The latest purchase includes two lots totaling 2 acres in the Cherry Fish subdivision. The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home, built in 1989 and recently renovated, includes 3,012 square feet under roof.

Cote, 64, plans to retire next March as head of Honeywell, a $40- billion company that operates an aerospace repair service center near Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. …
