The West Virginia men's basketball team will get one more taste of New York on Monday night, this time at the WVU Coliseum. The No. 19 Mountaineers conclude their NIT Season Tip-Off experience at 7 p.m. Monday against Manhattan. Root Sports Pittsburgh will televise the game.

WVU (4-1) will try to bounce back from its first loss of the season, an 81-77 setback to Temple in the Tip-Off title game in Brooklyn, New York.

The Mountaineers host two campus-site games as part of the Tip- Off. WVU defeated New Hampshire on Nov. 20 in the first of those two games.

West Virginia fell behind by as many as 20 points in the first half against the Owls before pulling itself back into the game. A furious second-half rally actually put the Mountaineers ahead by three points, when Esa Ahmad's layup with 7:19 left gave WVU a 67- 64 lead.

But as well as WVU's defense recovered to force 19 Temple turnovers, the Mountaineers committed 16 turnovers and made just 11 of 18 free throws, compared to Temple's 21 of 24. …
