The following CORRECTION/CLARIFICATION appeared on December 1, 2016.A chart of Nielsen television newscast ratings published on Wednesday had figures reversed for the 6 p.m. demographic. It should have read WPXI first (2.6 rating with a 9 share), KDKA second (2.3/8) and WTAE third (2.1/8).

Campaign ad fatigue didn't keep viewers from turning to local TV newscasts during the most recent Nielsen period Oct. 27-Nov. 23.
