Under your cover of liberalism and advocacy of democratic elections, Trump-style, you hide your true colors of anti-socialism. In your assessment of Fidel Castro's more than 50 years as the leader of the Cuban revolution ("Castro the Strongman," Nov. 29 editorial), you have ignored the most important trait of his ideology: the fight against American imperialism.

From late in the 19th century, but, mostly after the Cuban War of Independence from Spain, for more than 60 years, U.S. imperialism has been rampant in the Caribbean. U.S. military invasions of Haiti, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Cuba, Panama and Grenada succeeded each other from 1900 to 1965.
