NO SOPHOMORE JINX HERE AS PITT IS OFF TO AN IMPRESSIVE START
As a freshman last season, Brenna Wise led the Pitt women's basketball team in scoring and rebounding. It looks like she might be even better this season. After the first six games, Wise was averaging team highs in points (13.0) and rebounds (7.8). The Panthers were 6-0 entering the week. Wise, a 6-foot forward from Vincentian, was shooting 51 percent from the field and 83 percent from the free-throw line. Wise made the all-ACC freshman team a year ago.
