The public can watch artisans create and restore stained glass during two tours Dec. 16 at Pittsburgh Stained Glass Studios, a 103- year-old business in the West End.

In cooperation with the Office of Public Art, the studio will offer one-hour tours at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Kirk Weaver is a third- generation glass artisan and conservator who inherited the business from his grandfather, John.

In 2002, Mr. Weaver directed a team of artisans who restored three major Tiffany windows at Calvary United Methodist Church in the North Side's Allegheny West neighborhood.
