Mingo Central, the Class AA state champion, placed nine players on the first team to lead the All-Cardinal Conference football squad. Leading the way for the Miners was junior quarterback Jeremy Dillon, who earlier this week captured the J.R. House Award as the state's top quarterback.

Other Mingo Central players on the first team included Dalton Fields, Dalton Sheppard, Isaac Fox, Robbie Daniels, Caleb Lester, Drew Hatfield, Tyler Grimmett and Joe Hunt.

Sissonville had seven players on the all-league first team, including two who were also selected first-team all-state - quarterback Chance Brown and linebacker Colton Faber. (See All- Cardinal list, Page 2B.)
