Young Artists Win Prizes in Lions' Annual Coloring Contest

The Kanawha City Lions Club has announced the winners of the coloring contest it held during the club's annual Art and Crafts Show in Charleston in November. The contest was held to allow children to color while their parents shopped at the Charleston Civic Center event.

Kanawha City Lions Club member and coloring contest chairman Jim Slamick said 105 children participated in the contest.

Each winning entrant received a Charleston Town Center gift card, in denominations of $25 for first place, $15 for second place and $10 for third place.

Retired teacher Rebecca Walker judged the entries.

Contest winners, their hometowns and their ages are as follows:

Ages 2-6:

First place: Tenley Myers, Hurricane, 6

Second place: Zoey Lanier, Elkview, 6

Third place: Abby Frame, Scott Depot, 6

Ages 7-9:

First place: Jonah Spears, Spencer, 9

Second place: Grayson McKown, Hurricane, 8

Third place: Peyton Scott, Charleston, 7

Ages 10-12:

First place: Megan Gross, Charleston, 12

Second place: Jaelyn Mullins, Elkview, 12

Third place: Willow Crouse, Buffalo, 10. …
