HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP

MIAMI -- Former Lakewood Ranch High golfer Danny Walker won the South Beach International Amateur golf tournament Thursday.

Walker shot a four-round total of 270 (70-66-67-67) to finish 4- under par, winning the tournament played at the Miami Beach Golf Club and the Normandy Shores Golf Club by two shots.

Included in Walker's total was an ace in the third round on the 233-yard par-3 9th hole at Miami Beach G.C.

Walker was the Herald-Tribune co-Golfer of the Year during his senior year. The four-time state champion for the Mustangs, he won an individual state title as a freshman.
