Man Headed to Prison for Child-Porn Production

A former PNC mortgage broker is headed to federal prison for 18 years after admitting last week that he took sexually explicit digital images of a young girl he had molested and sent them to someone he met online.

Travis Glies, 38, of McCandless, had been indicted in May on three counts of production, distribution and possession of materials depicting sexual exploitation of a child following an investigation by the district attorney's office and the FBI.

He pleaded guilty on Thursday in U.S. District Court to the production count and will be sentenced in April.

Glies, who is now a federal felon, is also scheduled for trial in March in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court on state charges related to the alleged molestation of the girl.

Formerly a PNC senior loan consultant, Glies had faced a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to 30 years in federal prison. With his plea, he agreed to 18 years.

The case began in March, when Google submitted a CyberTipline report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone using the email address pghfootballguy@gmail. …
