ST. LOUIS > Shooting victim dies * Homicide detectives called to the 1800 block of Warren Street just after 1 p.m. Wednesday found a man shot inside a vehicle.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim was identified as Sammie Tabor, 26, of the 3800 block of Nebraska Avenue in St. Louis.

O'FALLON, Mo. > Pedestrian struck by car is identified * A pedestrian who was seriously injured Tuesday morning when he was struck by a car here has been identified as Andrew Nau-Dewitt, 31, of O'Fallon, Mo., authorities say.

O'Fallon Fire Protection District Chief Thomas Vineyard said Nau- Dewitt was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles for treatment of life-threatening injuries. He was in critical condition Wednesday afternoon, O'Fallon police said. Police said that the driver was not injured and that the investigation was continuing.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help pay for Nau-Dewitt's expenses.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY > Baby arrives on roadside * A pregnant woman on the way to a hospital ran out of time Tuesday afternoon and delivered her baby in a car along Interstate 64 with the help of her doula.

The baby was safely delivered by the time paramedics from West County Fire and EMS arrived on the scene, according to Sara Dayley, public information officer for the department.

Paramedics took the mother and baby to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.

The woman was on the way to the hospital when the vehicle she was traveling in pulled over along the road, Dayley said. The woman's doula, who helps during childbirth, was traveling in a vehicle behind. She also pulled over. The doula was able to deliver the baby safely, Dayley said.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY > Man accused of plotting to kill wife * A man from north St. Louis County has been charged with second-degree attempted murder after allegedly seeking to have his wife killed.

Willie M. Jackson, 51, of Florissant, wanted the "victim tied up, beaten and left for dead," according to charges. …
