Aqua Plumbing Owner Selling to Managers

SARASOTA COUNTY -- Aqua Plumbing & Air president John Miller is retiring and selling his 42-year-old business to two of his key managers.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Miller is selling the business to Chuck Jacobson and Skip Stanton, who both have been vice presidents and general managers of the company. The two men have been with Aqua for 30 years and 18 years, respectively.

When Aqua Plumbing bought a small air-conditioning company in 1997, the business became Aqua Plumbing & Air. In 2009, Aqua bought a small electrical company. In 2013, the company expanded its plumbing services division in the wake of the Great Recession.

Miller attributed the success of his business to hiring quality people, continuing to learn throughout his career, hard work, attention to quality and becoming a good listener. …
