St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners Taps Stream for GOP Director Post

CLAYTON * The St. Louis County Board of Election Commissioners has announced the appointment of former State Rep. Rick Stream to serve as the Republican director of the agency that provides oversight of the countywide electoral process.

Stream, of Kirkwood, in 2014 concluded his eight-year tenure in Jefferson City as chair of the House Budget Committee.

A former member of the Kirkwood School Board, Stream narrowly lost to Democrat Steve Stenger in the 2014 race for St. Louis County executive and this year to Andrew Koenig in the Republican primary to succeed Eric Schmitt in the Missouri 15th state senatorial district.

Stream will succeed Gary Fuhr, the Republican election director who retired after irregularities plagued voting in the April municipal elections. …
