The BP gas station on East Main Street was robbed twice last week, Mayor Jack Kobistek reported. At 9:47 p.m. Feb. 1, a white man, possibly with a dark-colored goatee and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black and gray jacket, and blue jeans, told the clerk he had a gun but didn't show one.

At 7:20 p.m. Saturday, a man described as black and wearing a mask and gloves threatened a clerk with a gun.

No arrests have been made.


A public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday before the township supervisors meeting on a proposed 96-home development on 100 acres near Snowden Road.

The development request for the free-standing homes on the wooded property was submitted by Hawthorne Partner II LLC on behalf of Scarmazzi Homes.

The hearing, at which residents may comment, will be held in the municipal complex, 2675 Brownsville Road. …
