Giants Punished for Sideline Walkie-Talkie Use vs. Cowboys

EAST RUTHERFORD - The NFL fined the Giants $150,000 and head coach Ben McAdoo an additional $50,000 for the illegal use of a walkie-talkie on the sideline two Sundays ago during the team's 10- 7 victory over the Cowboys.

In addition to that penalty, the Giants' fourth-round selection in the 2017 draft will be moved to the end of the fourth round after any compensatory picks are issued by the league. Their selection will not be more than 12 spots lower than the Giants' original spot in that round.

A statement released by the Giants said: "It was a clear violation of the rules, and we accept full responsibility and the penalty."

The Cowboys filed a formal request to the NFL to investigate the situation.
