Windsor Worries a Canadian Border Town Suspends Student Trips

The confusion emanating from the Trump White House over which foreigners are allowed to enter the United States isn't limited to this country.

Canada, our northern neighbor and largest trading partner, is so concerned about the treatment many of its Muslim citizens are subjected to at the border that school officials in Windsor, Ontario - directly across the border from Detroit - have suspended class trips to the U.S. for all of its students.

Because many Canadian Muslims attend school near the U.S./Canadian border, the government could foresee a scenario in which immigrant students originally from one of the majority Muslim nations singled out by Mr. Trump's travel ban could be detained and questioned while their non-Muslim classmates would be allowed to enter the U.S.

From Canada's perspective, this is intolerable. …
