Teaneck's Felicia Temple Stuns Alicia Keys on Hit NBC Show

Monday night was a hit for North Jersey's own Felicia Temple.

Temple, a contestant on season 12 of NBC's "The Voice," not only secured a spot on judge Alicia Keys' team after her blind audition, but also got to sing a duet with her childhood idol.

Temple, a 28-year-old nurse at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck and a township resident, sang an impressive rendition of "All I Could Do Was Cry," a classic Etta James ballad. She got the attention of Keys, the first judge to turn her chair, as well as judges Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.

Temple, who grew up singing and playing the piano, said she was nicknamed "Felicia Keys" in high school, causing Alicia Keys to join her onstage for a duet of her hit "Fallin." Temple then immediately chose Keys as her coach; Shelton and Stefani lamented they didn't have a shot at getting Temple on their teams. …
